This paper presents a systematic approach to integrating a permissioned blockchain technology that effectively makes a good fit for the judicial sector. We begin with a thorough analysis of permissioned blockchain’s distinctive features: decentralised, immutable, transparent, and distributed peer-to-peer network preserving data confidentiality where non-trusting members can engage in secure, verifiable interactions without the need for a central authority. We review how the integration of Hyperledger Fabric (an open-source permissioned blockchain framework) and the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) works and how it helps to strategically improve access control and efficient tamper-proof management of evidence and case-related documents. The pursuit of deploying secure access control through the permissioned blockchain network remains a central goal of the judicial system. We propose ensuring auditability and automation in this quest by utilising chaincode based smart contracts to enhance operational efficiency within the legal system. This integrated approach, we contend, addresses key limitations of the current judicial system and provides a novel pathway for a modern judicial framework. We focus on two core characteristics: A robust digital infrastructure with enhanced data security and streamlined case management protocols.

DriveChain aims to improve the services the RTA provides by leveraging the benefits of blockchain technology, a decentralized, secure, & transparent platform for managing driving licenses, vehicle registration, ownership transfer & related services. By implementing a private permissioned blockchain, all records & transactions will be verified & stored on an immutable ledger, eliminating the possibility of forgery, manipulation, or data breaches. The system will provide a decentralized & transparent platform for various stakeholders, including RTA authorities, driving license holders, vehicle owners, & law enforcement agencies. The system will offer an NFT marketplace designed to simplify vehicle buying & selling.

The Proof of Workout Protocol (POWP) is a decentralized fitness application built on Ethereum, incentivizing physical activity through gamified fitness challenges and token-based rewards. Modern lifestyles encourage sedentary behavior, and traditional fitness programs often fail due to a lack of immediate rewards and community support, leading to the lack of physical exercise by many. While digital fitness solutions like apps and wearables exist, they typically lack substantial incentives to sustain long-term engagement, which blockchain technology can address through decentralized management and financial rewards. By leveraging Ethereum smart contracts and integrating with the Strava API, POWP offers a secure, transparent system that motivates users to stay active by providing token-based rewards for completing verified fitness challenges. POWP involves users staking ETH to participate in fitness quests. Successful completions earn rewards such as POW tokens, staked ETH, and NFTs, while failed attempts lead to the redistribution of staked ETH among participants.

In particular, the issue of serial sperm donors who father numerous children has emerged as a critical concern due to the absence of a cross-checking mechanism. This paper introduces Repro-Trust, a permissioned blockchain solution designed to rebuild the trust on the fertility industry by facilitating confidential and anonymous information exchange among service providers. Â
Repro-Trust facilitates secure information exchange among service providers, allowing them to track the total number of donations made by a donor while preserving privacy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and eliminating the risks associated with serial sperm donors. The system employs a unique two-level encrypted donor identifier system, a robust checking mechanism, and a stringent onboarding verification process for service providers. Furthermore, Repro-Trust adopts a sustainable and scalable business model by collecting affordable fees for each donation checking transaction. The fee is distributed via smart contracts, incentivizing participation from service providers and ring signature verifiers. The implementation of Repro-Trust aims to set a new standard in the fertility industry — to enhance the security, reliability, ethicality, and transparency of the sperm donation process — thereby fostering trust among all stakeholders.

Due to the rapid advancement of technology, the tourism industry has experienced significant growth, leading to an increasing number of people opting to travel by air. However, accompanying this trend are notable issues such as luggage delays, damage, and loss. To address these challenges, this study leverages the decentralized and transparent characteristics of blockchain technology to propose a luggage insurance solution aimed at achieving real-time monitoring of luggage and instant automatic compensation. This paper validates the feasibility of the proposed solution through pseudocode.

Peer review represents the status-quo when it comes to evaluating research articles that are submitted to conferences and journals. The significance of a computer science article is given by the prestige of the publication and is correlated with the inclusion in the ISI Web of Science index. This paper discusses the issues of the current paper publication paradigm and proposes a decentralized approach to the paper dissemination and the peer review processes. On the one hand, decentralization and transparency are obtained by employing smart contracts, through blockchain technology. On the other hand, an optimization of the paper rating system is obtained by employing a system of expert badges, based on NFTs, which ensure that the peer review process is just and that only specialists in the fields associated to the contributed paper offer proficient feedback. Other proposed facets include the remuneration of reviewers, and a method for verifying the quality of the provided feedback.
ReUtainer leverages blockchain to tackle problems not solved by conventional methods, with the aim of establishing a trusted reusable food container ecosystem supported by shared and distributed washing and delivery services, governed by the community and enabled by Web3 solutions in high-density office districts.
